3 Mash-up artists you should know about:

Perhaps you've heard of mash-ups. They're songs that are mixed together using samples from other songs. Doing this an artist can create a whole new sound. You may have Heard of Girltalk or some other DJs doing this, but let's take a look at a few you may be less in tune to.

As do I.

Do you feel lonely?

Do you feel lonely? As if there is no one out there for you? That no one understands you? Sure you may have one friend who truely gets you. Sure you may have had that one girl/guy in the past who was "the one". There seems to be a lot of talk about soul-mates these days. And often a response to be found is, "there are other fish in the sea,". Well it's true. But that's just a statement, what does it really imply?

The global population as of my most recent check on Google is 6,775,235,700. That's quite a lot of people. Now lets look at the average population of cities. In the US, the average city population size is 6,545. Which is a decent amount of people. I myself live in a city with a population of 20,000. The outlying towns around me probably meet up to the 6,545 mark. We can safely assume that most people in the global population live in a city (city, town, village, etc. Any inhabited place.) And also we can assume that the average population for cities in other countries around the world is similar to that of the US.

What am I getting at? Simple. It seems that throughout life, everyone is bound to meet at least one person whom they love dearly or have a soul-mate like connection with. Usually you can find someone like that in every place you might move to throughout life. What I'm trying to say is that, in essence, each city in the world is likely to have at least one person in it who is greatly compatible with yourself.

Let's go back to those numbers.

So each city is bound to have at least one person in it with whom we can really get along. So 6,545=1 for the sake of this problem. Now since we're assuming that everyone in the global population lives in a city (town, village, etc. We've already been over this.) we can divide the population, by the avg. city populaion...

What have we got? 1,035,177.

That means that in this world, there is at least 1,035,177 people who are greatly compatible with you. Over one million people with whom you'd be able to share brilliant company. That's considering that there's only one person in each city.

You're not alone. You've got possibly millions on your side. Remember that.

You and all your closest friends.

Obviously the math on this isn't solid, but it gives a good look on just how not alone we are.

Not only are these girls more hardcore than you:

But they look hot doing it.

Rant to the random Hummer owner:

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH GREAT HUMMER OWNER:

At what point, whilst searching for your new mobile gas burning device, did you decide that the Hummer was indeed a logical desicion?

At what point, whilst measuring your undoubtedtly small reproductive glands, did you decide that a Hummer was the perfect reamedy to said dileama?

AT WHAT POINT, Mr. Hummer Owner, did you think that you were somehow making a good choice for you and your fellow population??

AT WHAT POINT, did you conciously decide to ignore the little voice inside your head that goes, "No don't do it! You'll seem like a total douche!" And go on galavanting around in your sub-urban tank?!

Listen, just because you own a Hummer doesn't make you a bad person. It just really doesn't help the argument against. I don't hate you all, I just hate the choice you've made in buying such a monstrosity.

Are you in a war-zone? If so, then a Hummer is for you. If not... THEN GET A GODDAMN SADAN OR PICK-UP LIKE THE REST OF US.

You're not impressing anyone worth impressing.

You're killing the environment.

You're killing your wallet.

You're one of the reasons America has a bad name.

But of course this is just a rant. I.E my opinion.

4 musical genre's that need more attention:

Everyone loves music. Sure, it's a given. People have their favorite bands, genres, albums, etc. But with the Internet as it is today, you'd think the populations general tastes (at least with my generation) would be a tab more eclectic. But nope, all we get is hip-hop, country, and rock. Those three genres essentially have the whole damn monopoly over our tastes these days. I mean sure you'll get those who love dance music or techno. But I think that as a general public, we should broaden our horizons a bit.

Show a little love.

3 original comedic acts:

We all like comedy. It's funny, that's why it's there. But what do we laugh at? Mostly stand-up comedians and fart-jokes. That's not a huge spectrum. So here are a few comedians who change up the game to give you a good laugh.

Laugh like your leader!

5 Great sites for listening to music:

If you're a music lover like myself, then you're probably searching all the time for the best places to listen to your favorite tunes. But there are so many sites out there? How the hell are we supposed to know which ones will deliver delicious musical satisfaction, and which will make us cry. Well I'm here to help!! After reading this, you'll be the new DJ among your friends... Unless one of your friends is already a DJ, in which case, why didn't you ask him first?

You'll feel like this guy.

So freelance writing isn't as easy as it sounds:

One of my favorite comedy websites hires anyone to do their writing... Of course I tried it out. Quickly though, I realized that it's a tough process. I'm barely into it now, but I can tell that this will be a long and grueling process of taking my ideas re-working them, scrapping them, and then crying to my blog.

I wrote out an entire article pitch, one that I had worked on for 5-6 hours on. And the replies were less positive than I had hoped. Of course, I can't expect to hit the nail on the head first try. I need to keep up the work! But I need support! Support me in the comments! I need positive reinforcement!

The one mech game you should actually look into:

Most mech games kind of get brushed off of my shoulders... They never look very impressive, and the gameplay is always too (forgive me) robotic. But when I saw the gameplay for this sucker, oh baby...

Hawken gameplay trailer:
*jizz*

I can't wait to see how this game turns out, I'll definitely be keeping up with this one. You should too!

I always wondered about those swan dives in Assassin's Creed...

The Witcher 2 has some interesting light to show on the Assassin's Creed's "leap of faith":

Ouch.

Classical music, and why you should care about it:

Thier first video was a huge hit, and with good reason. A cello composistion of Smooth Criminal? Your first thought might be, "How is that possible? It must be so boring". WRONG.

Halo 4 and other video game news:

Oh E3. The joys you bring upon gamers, with your new-fangled contraptions and introductions to games which we will be biting at our nails to play for the months which follow. What have you brought us this year? Well so far, quite-a-freakin' bit.

So there's that video I mentioned in my first post.

5 Web Comics Worth Checking Out:

During my adventures across the web, I have stumbled accross many a web comic. Some funny, some bland, others witty, and others totally stupid. The point is, now I have 5 comics that I can proudly say that I have read every panel for and continually check back every day to read up. Here are my recommendations for you, if you're ever looking for a good read:

Portal fans can be as witty as the game:

I was stumbling around and found this video. I thought to myself, what better place than to post it on a blog!

I have to admit, although the performance is a tad sloppy, the presentation is freakin' awesome. I need to get some friends together and do this.

A little substance:

Any self respecting blog should have at least 2 posts right? Well I think so. So here's another post damnit.

DUBSTEP.

Intro/ Halo 4

Well... To start off this blog I figured I'd start with something very close to me. Halo.
